N-sync were a very popular boy band, selling millions of record and had a lot of top ten singles. The group is has now split but solo artists have formed out of the group the most well known being Justin Timberlake.
- The whole video is set out doors, the group is shot as if they are leading a normal evening, this relatees to the lryics and how the song is about and every day situation that we can all relate to.
- The use of the fire and flames is to represent love and passion. It also has vampish connoations. The cars are also used for the sexy and vamp side of things.
- Lots of close ups especially at start when the wrods being said are very soft, the close up is on the lips, to show passion and the sensitive side of the group.
- There are some shots which show a relationship between the visuals and the lyrics, the main chorus the word 'girlfriend' is always said when one group member is in a romantic situation with one of the girls in the video. (Goodwin)
- There is alot of voyeuristic treatments of the female body. We are shown this the women wearing tight clothing and dancing in a very sexual nature, griding one an other and also the group members. The sexualised 'gaze' is encouraged throught the mise-en-scene (the location, costume and lighting).
- The vidoe contains alot of meat shots, this may be down to the demands of the record label, the artists naby develop motifs which recur across their work. (Goodwin)
- Use of sun light in shots to give a blurred effect for the background so that the audiences attention is focused on the star in the foreground.
- The connotations of the cheographed routine are juxtasposed with lyrics suggesting the groups masculinity and senitivity, with the mix of masculine dance moves which are stiff and straight, against the slow movements when dancing with the 'girlfriend'.

good work joe, it would be useful to describe the narrative. It would also be helpful to go into more detail about the representation of the group, you only mention this briefly and as you are considering a boy band, this is important
