Yesterday me and Abbey went through the final footage putting in lots of transitions and changing the colour balance to make it look more professional. We made the performance shots have a more autumnal look and the narrative have a dreamy appeal. Then Joe tweaked everything we had checking for syncing and mistakes. Today we showed our final video Ms Johnson and we were ready to save it as the final piece and is ready to be uploaded onto Youtube.

We captured our final location shots and started to choose the best footage and edit into what we already had. We then spent the last week lipsinking, adding in zooms and so on. We then had to delete certain shots and get more close up shots of the band members to keep within the conventions. We captured the bits of footage we re-filmed or needed and again started lipsinking ect. Then today in a free period Joe contiued working on the footage we had. Later today i spent a free and some time after school to finish editing. After I finished editing all of the footage i got feedback on our final rough cut. Tomorrow we need to add in more fades and dissolves ect to tweak up what we have and then our video will be completed.

Second day of filming (Abbey C)
We organised our final day of filming throughout the school week and scheduled it for saturday 9th febuary. We met early in the day to catch the sunlight and brightness. We revisited one of our locations (Otford Hills) in order to perfect a shot that we liked, but wasnt happy with. The shot went well and we are now able to use it. We then spent a few hours at Bradbourne lakes and completed the rest of the filming. We followed our plan and storyboard but also found extra, attractive surroundings. We were very lucky with the weather as it did not rain at all.
Today (12th feb) we decided our video was lacking some extreme close-ups and aranged to film a couple more in a siutable location just outside of school. Refered to as 'meat' shots they are important in offering the audience a detailed, intimate shot of the 'voice'.

This week we have been editing the footage we got last week, we selected the best and most interesting shots we captured. We have then been adding in transitions between shots including fades aswell as dips to black which stick to boyband conventions. We have changed the colour balance on the love scenes to create a warmer, romantic feel aswell as a hyper reality effect. Tomorrow (Saturday 9th Feb) we are filming our final locations, which deliver most visual impact and are more conventional with a more professional look. Then in the following week we will be capturing in the final shots and editing them aswell as tweaking the final footage.

Reccie. By Abbey C
We took a digital camera to all three of our filming locations. We proceeded to take pictures of the outside of the cabin, the lakes (a bridge and pleasant scenery) and the Otford hills. Once taken we printed the pictures off a private home printer, ready to present to the class. We discussed these locations with other classmembers and pitched our ideas. We were offered constructive criticism which we took on board.

Filming
Saturday the 26th of January we went to two of our locations and we filmed several scenes from our storyboards. We moved our indside cabin scene to Abbey's bedroom and dressed it accordingly using candle light and plush cushions to create the romantic mood of the song. The props included the characters wearing fashionable winter clothes, lots of candles, cushions and an 'engagment ring'. These shots were narrative based. We then filmed outside of the cabin using band shots of them performing the boys wore similar clothing to fit in with the boyband stereotype and sang into the camera all performing on different levels. We also walked up to Otford hills to show our out-door winter theme, the boys wore smart coats some wearing scarves. We shot them singing at the camera each memeber having at least one close up or opportunity to sing fitting in with the conventions. We re-filmed scenes and got alot of footage so that we had a range of choice for our final video. We also shot them from different angles and on different levels to see which techniques we could fit in and which would look the best. We still have another location to film and we need to re-film some shots but we have started to edit some of what we have.
